Whole/Half Lamb Shares

We are so excited to take this big step in expanding our homestead offerings to include organic pasture-raised, soy-free grain-finished lamb! Our humanely raised, pastured lamb has made up a bulk of the protein in our family's diet, along with our farm fresh eggs, for almost a decade! From our field to your table, we are thrilled to be able to share our bounty with our community!

Why Lamb?

Sustainable Farming Practices: We raise our lamb in a sustainable manner that aligns with our deep-rooted values of being good stewards of our land, and being kind and responsible animal owners. Our sheep live their lives happily grazing on organic pastures, receiving treats of organic fruits and veggies from the garden, and are butchered by a trusted source that ensures minimal stress during the process. This ensures your family is consuming the healthiest, most nutrient-dense protein while contributing to happy, safe, and sustainable farming practices.

Taste and Flavor: Lamb has a unique, rich flavor and is a delicacy in many cultures and is considered a special occasion meat. Because we mostly pasture-raise our lambs, with just a light grain finish, it is much milder in flavor than conventionally farmed lamb. Costumers who don't typically love lamb have told us they absolutely love ours!

Nutritional Value: Lamb is a good source of protein, iron, zinc, and vitamin B12. It also contains healthy fats, such as omega-3 fatty acids.

Cultural Significance: Lamb has a long history in many cultures and is often associated with religious ceremonies, holidays, and traditional recipes. We offer a limited number of intact, live males if you prefer to use your own processing practices.

Health Benefits: Some studies have suggested that lamb may have certain health benefits, such as reducing the risk of heart disease and improving cognitive function.

Variety: Lamb can be prepared in a wide variety of ways, from roasted and grilled to stewed and ground. This makes it a versatile addition to any diet.
