Bastille soap is one of the oldest documented soaps, dating from Spain as early as 1567! Bastille soap has a very high olive oil content (more than 75%), with just a few other oils and butters added to help it harden faster and have a higher bubble content than pure olive oil soap which can take up to a year to cure! I formulate my bastille soaps with organic, herbal infused olive oil and other gentle, skin-loving ingredients as well as sea salt to help it cure even faster and also add extra skin-moisturizing properties (Yes!
